The Video Fairfax program promotes student interest in film and technology by encouraging them to gain experience in working with the art medium and exploring creative ideas and storytelling through film and new media. The program is supported in part by Fairfax County, Cox Communications, Fairfax Spotlight on the Arts, and Fairfax Public Access.
Winners will receive a cash award and Cox Communications will be making the winning entries available for viewing On Demand. Awards will be given in four grade level categories (K-3, Grade 4-6, Middle School, High School).
1st Prize: $500.00
2nd Prize: $200.00
3rd Prize: $100.00
The entries will be judged by a panel consisting of professionals from local television studios, educational institutions, and independent video artists and companies.
