CAPs - Youth Education Through The Arts The Creative Arts Program (CAPs) facilitates more than 1,000 performances to over 200,000 students in more than 100 schools and family audience settings per year.
Grants - Building the Arts Community In 2009 Arts Council grants supported over 4,065 performances, exhibitions, community partnerships, and educational activities. Over 1.75 million people attended performances, exhibitions, and events.
Adocacy - Your Voice in Fairfax County The Arts Council advocates for our community’s artists and art organizationss and cultural facilities and serves as the County’s re-granting agency for funds designated for local artists and arts organizations. 
Membership - Fostering a Dynamic Arts Community The Arts Council serves Fairfax County artists, arts organizations, policy makers, and educators. Indirectly, the Arts Council serves the residents, businesses, and community organizations that benefit from a thriving and diverse arts presence.

CrossCurrents Dance Company returns to the Workhouse on Sunday, March 14 at 3pm for a Stars on Sunday performance in Gallery W-16!

Artistic Director Debra Kanter brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion onto the stage. With roots firmly planted in the metropolitan DC community, the company is driven by the transformative power of dance and are dedicated to the production of concerts of high artistic caliber.

The work of the company has been characterized bu Lisa Traiger of The Washington Post as,  “finely etched dancing and dramatically cogent choreography.” The Company has performed throughout the Washington DC Metropolitan area at venues that include the Kennedy Center, Dance Place, the Clarice Smith Center at the University of Maryland, Gunston Performing Arts Center, the Chesapeake Center for the Arts, and the Jack Guidone Theatre.

Free tickets are available online, by phone, or in person. Reservations recommended. Tickets may be claimed at Will Call beginning at 2:30pm on March 14.  Light fare and cash bar available.

Doors open 30 minutes prior (2:30pm).
