Grant Recipients
Operating Support grants provide funds for the basic operation of arts organizations in Fairfax County in recognition of the valuable programs and services they provide to County residents. Operating grants also contribute to the stability of these organizations.
On October 3, 2009 the Board of Trustees of the Arts Council of Fairfax County approved $397,140 in operating support grants to 44 arts organizations throughout the county. All types of organizations received funding including arts education, choral music, dance, instrumental music, opera, and theatre. A detailed list of these grant recipients appears below. We are a big county with talent to match, and the Arts Council is proud to be able to support so many outstanding organizations.
The Arts Council is funded in part by Fairfax County, corporations, foundations, individuals, and the Virginia Commission for the Arts, an agency supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.
