The Creative Artists Programs (CAPs) give artists and art groups the opportunity to showcase in front of young audiences in an educational environment. Artists get booked through schools and other area organizations. We have over 100 active subscribers to the program and are constantly exploring new markets. Our mission is to help market your services to your audiences. The Arts Council of Fairfax County received the 2011 Community Partner of the Year Award,  presented by the Fairfax County Public Schools, for the CAPs program.

Artist Benefits

  1. Artists may participate in our two annual showcases with live school audiences, teachers and PTAs at professional theatres in Fairfax County. Many of our local PTAs do visit the showcases and it's a great tool for you to get to know potential bookers. Participation is optional.
  2. Printed literature of showcasing artists will be distributed during showcases.
  3. An online artist directory, featuring artist profile, services, contact information, video contact, and interactive user ratings and reviews.
  4. We send out electronic newsletters to subscribers, featuring artist directory updates, new artist programs, and artist touring information
  5. We want your feedback. You will be included in our annual artist survey.
